FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 13, 2026 — Speaker Junkies have released "Super DUPR," their first new single in 10 years and the band's follow-up to "Stick 'Em Up." Released on July 10, the EDM track draws inspiration from pickleball's player rating system and marks the group's return to new music after a decade.

"The idea came from the rating chase," said Tekno Tom. "In pickleball, everyone wants a better DUPR. You win, you check your rating. You lose, you check your rating. People are out there grinding for that next number. So I started joking about being 'Super DUPR'—like beyond the rating, beyond the scoreboard. After pickleball that night, I went straight to the studio and the track basically started writing itself."

According to the band, what began as a joke developed into a song exploring competition, confidence, and the desire to improve. While inspired by pickleball, the group says the themes are intended to resonate with audiences beyond the sport.

For Speaker Junkies, the release also marks the beginning of a new chapter following a decade without new music. The band says the single reflects its established EDM style while incorporating themes drawn from the growing popularity of pickleball.
